Kauai is such a beautiful, adventure filled island! Our captains have compiled a list of their favorite outdoor activities as a guide for you to enjoy. These are all fun activities that they would do on one of their days off!

Kayak down the Wailua River

If you are looking for a fun adventurous day on the east side of the island we recommend taking a Kayak tour by our friends at Kayak Wailua. Its a fun group trip that results with a picnic lunch at a secret waterfall! You can kayak solo or tandem and be ready for a fun adventure!

Hike Mahaulepu Trail

Mahaulepu Trail is located in Poipu at the end of the road by the Grand Hyatt Kauai. The trail leads you along the ocean on sand dune cliffs and you can take the trail as far as you want, eventually ending up at a secluded beach. The trail is perfect for whale watching, watching marine life such as monk seals and sea turtles (the water is a clear blue!) While the trail is moderately easy, be sure to wear close toed shoes and bring plenty of water as the terrain can be rocky and hot!

Stand Up Paddle board

Our friends at Stand Up Paddle Kauai make it easy to rent and enjoy a relaxing day on the Wailua River (its true, we love the Wailua River!) For the best SUP boards, they are the ones to contact. If you are looking for a guided tour, they offer that as well! Be sure to contact them for further information!

Hike and Adventure in Kokee State Park

Kokee State Park is filled with mind-blowing hikes that are worthwhile to see! Our top favorites are Awa’awapuhi Trail, Alakai Swamp Trail, Nualolo Ridge Trail! Plan most of your day to hike any of these trails as they range from 6-8 miles around trip. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and a fully charged camera or phone to document the journey!!

Snorkel at Anini Beach

If you are looking for a water related activity on the north shore, we recommend spending a day at Anini Beach! For some of the best snorkeling and calm crystal clear waters, bring a picnic lunch and your masks!
