Hele on to Kaua’i
“I’m going to be your instincts, Kunu will be your instincts. Don’t do anything. Don’t try to surf, don’t do it. The less you do, the more you do.”
-Kunu/Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Many People traveling to Hawai’i want to get the most out of their visit, which usually includes island hoping. High expectations are set on their ultimate adventure to the Garden Isle. Well, I’m here to tell you…do less.
The absolute best time you will ever have on Kaua’i is when you let your natural instincts kick in and go with the flow. Just be sure you have a rental car set up. That’s really important. lol. Don’t over plan, and just enjoy the beauty that Kaua’i has to offer. This is not the island for high end dinning and night life. Everything opens late and closes early and some of the most desired locations are in extremely rural areas. Nothing about Kaua’i is convenient, and that’s what makes it so special. You are basically going back in time. Embrace it.
Get off the plane, do the hike you always dreamed of and find that whimsical beach you saw in a movie. If you like it there, stay, enjoy. Don’t rush your plans. In fact, try not to make plans. Have a list of destinations and just see where the day takes you. We promise, you won’t be disappointed.
Oh, and don’t forget to come see the Na Pali Coast with us 🙂 It’s a dream! Just make sure to book an afternoon tour if you are only staying for the day.
Until next time…
